WHAT'S MY LINE?

BEIJING -  What do you get when carry a load of solid concrete blocks into the stands and sit on them for a smoke break?   This is a seating load test to determine if the temporary seating being installed for the Padres vs. Dodgers series can handle a crowd.   All I can say is only in china!

Progress is good on field preps. We had some delays due to a water main break last week that shut down the water for a week.  The field photos are a few weeks apart...and yes, it a little smoggy!

The Diamond Pro soil amendments we had delivered from the states have really helped in drying out our baselines and homeplate apron.  The areas have been in the shade most of the winter and if you dig down about 8 inches the ground is still frozen. 

Soil temperatures at  3 inches have not been very desirable for growing grass but its coming along this week with surface temperatures at 60.
