Last Minute Touchs for WBC Fields & Stadiums
We are 3 days out until the World Baseball Classic Opener here in San Juan. Logos went down today and signage should be finished tomorrow. Our grounds team is set in both Mexico City and San Juan. We have Chad Kropff, Dennis Klien and Tom Neilson in San Juan and will be making some changes in a couple days to add Scott Strickland and Brandon Putnam. We have two ballparks to operate in SJU so the crews are split at Roberto Clemente Stadium in Carolina and Hiram Bithorn in San Juan. In Mexico we have Chad Olsen, Neal Pate and Josh Veit. We have rain in the forecast in SJU but thats a daily statement. Still waiting for some packing clay and a few tools, but here on the island things are pretty laid back until the last minute. As usual everything works out one way or the other.
