Dennis Martinez National Stadium

Construction continues at the new Dennis Martinez National Stadium in Managua. The country is so excited about their new ballpark designed by Dynamica. This will be the first new baseball stadium in this country since 1948 and will also be the largest in central america. The growth of the game in this country has increased dramatically since MLB began to provide coaching and game development assistance a few years ago.

The stadium will seat 15,000 and can expand to 20,000. The natural grass baseball field is currently being grown offsite using 419 Bermuda grass stolons from Costa Rica. The field will have an extensive drainage system to manage the monsoon type rains the area receives in the summer time.
